Projects

I strongly believe that creative energy is the fuel that makes life fun, so this project was particularly special to me. I asked creative writers a simple question: how do you improve? Their answer? Advice, guidance, and mentorship, but finding that didn’t always come easy for them. The solution? Elevate (Elev8), a tutoring platform where creative writers can search, request, and connect with creative writing tutor in order to “elevate” their writing skills. Tutors also have a wealth of features that enable them to advertise their availability, pricing, willingness to do offline/online sessions, and more. With Elev8, creativity is truly infinite.

Pop Quiz! What’s your least favorite part of school life? If you answered exams and quizzes, we are alike. The stress, cramming, and anxiety that comes from taking exam may never go away, but Quizard (short for Quiz Wizard) can simplify the process not only for students, but professors as well. With Quizard, professors can easily develop quizzes/exams and customize them how they see fit, including options to help curtail cheating, passcode protection to ensure only students from their class can enter, and more. Students can access these kisses with the stroke of a few keys, with positive affirmations whether you succeed or fail to keep morale how.

Jazz music is well over a century old, but that doesn’t mean its fans are okay with the archaic, restrictive means  they oftentimes use to listen to it. I connected with Jazz Music fans, got to know their wants and needs, then developed Blue Note, a prototype for an app where Jazz music fans can search, stream, favorite, and share the songs and albums they love without having to deal with commercials, randomized orders, and “all that jazz” ; ).

I took a deep dive into the culture that makes up the gaming community - a huge part of my life and countless others. Conversations with fellow gamers lead to the development of a community-driven website that finally puts control into the hands of those who...well, hold the controllers.

When a mega-talented baker contacted me about a big problem she was having with her business, the first thing I did was ask for a dozen apple pie cupcakes, because they're delicious. Then, the second thing I did was research how I could help make the cupcake selling process simple for both her and her customers. And thus, the Kreamy Kupcakes App prototype was born.
